BEWARE AS OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED!!!!
We also had some A/C issues and during the summer the A/C was constantly running and we had high electric bills. We had a broken dishwasher that never got fixed even till the day we moved out. The fenced in yards that someone else mentioned are nice till dogs/cats are pooping in it constantly and our kids couldn't even go out there to play without us having to go clean up the mess. It seems like the quality of tenants has quickly declined as they were desperate to fill in plenty of vacancies. These things aren't even my biggest complaint. MANAGEMENT and Pam!!!
My wife and I were finally looking to buy a home and the housing market is insanely crazy in the area. We had several months left on our lease when we started looking so I went to Pam and explained our situation to her. I explained to her that we clearly did not want to leave them high and dry and that we would make every attempt to find someone to sublease our place or help them find a new tenant for a full lease. She was very friendly and agreed that we would work something out. Then we were under contract on a house and completed the purchase. We had 2 months left on our lease at this point, so I went to talk to Pam again to see how we would work it out. She completely changed everything on us and they refused to let us sublease. On top of that, they made no effort in those 2 months to rent the apartment as they were taking their time to renovate the apartment and try to do it on my dime. I refuse to pay them as they've already kept my $1500 deposit and the fact that they think they can take advantage of a situation using shady practices.
Granted I've rented for the past 7+ years, so I am not new to leasing. I've had to move a couple times due to my job, and never had I ever had a problem with a management team like this. I've always tried my best to full the contract or aid them in not incurring any loses due to my move. I would be leery of any promises they make and definitely get them in writing. We are definitely glad we no longer have to rent.
