I lived in apartment 803A with my family for 4 years, and it is extremely sad to see this once-amazing community deteriorate so quickly under the new management.
They simply do not care about the residents anymore.
It feels like they are just trying to squeeze every penny out of you by constantly adding unexplained fees.
For example, they kept charging me for PDLW even though I already had my own renter's insurance on file with "Shiloh Park" explicitly listed on the policy, and they refused to explain or remove the charge.
Maintenance is essentially non-existent;
I opened a service ticket for a broken water heater, and even after speaking to the maintenance guy in person (who claimed he ordered a part), it was never fixed before we moved out.
I also submitted a ticket for an AC unit that stopped cooling during hot weather, and no one ever showed up to look at it.
We eventually had to move out because management just does not care about our living conditions.
The move-out process was an absolute nightmare. They kept our entire security deposit and forced us to pay an extra balance on top of it. This included charging me to replace cheap, poor-quality flooring. I had explicitly noted pre-existing issues with this floor on my move-in document, and the material simply deteriorated further from normal use over my four years there.
When I disputed the charges, the Community Manager, James C., kept telling me he was "doing me a favor" by charging me these amounts. When I finally escalated the unjust charges to the corporate office, Sarah M. actually admitted that they couldn't even find my original "Move-In Inventory and Condition Form" to justify their claims, and then tried to charge me even more!
I ended up just paying the final bill because dealing with this management company was too much of a nightmare.
Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. They will ignore your maintenance issues while you live there, and nickel-and-dime you the second you try to leave.
